The Gov. Juan F. Luis Hospital on St. Croix has signed a collaborative agreement with Metro Pavia Health System to refer patients at a reduced cost for specialized care. Metro Pavía Health System is the largest affiliated hospital network in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean with twelve hospitals across the Island.

Metro Pavia Health System, the largest network of affiliated hospitals in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean specialized to receive the International Patients under the Medical Tourism Program and the Governor Juan F. Metro Pavia Health System announced it has become the private hospital network with the highest number of medical tourism certifications in Puerto Rico. With a 10 million dollars investment six of its member institutions prepared themselves in order to successfully conclude the process of training, evaluation and certification from the Medical Tourism Association (MTA).
