Metro Pavia Health System (MPHS) is the largest network of hospitals in Puerto Rico and the Caribbean and is also the pioneer in the medical tourism industry within the region.
With more than 20 years of experience, MPHS has once again positioned itself at the vanguard of healthcare with the celebration of its 13th annual medical symposium held in the teachers’ resource center in the valley, Anguilla. The activity was co-hosted by the Princess Alexandra Hospital, and sponsored by el San Juan Resort & Casino.
The event proved to be a successful one with the attendance of more than 70 health care professionals which included local physicians and nurses from the princess Alexandra hospital and private clinics, such as Atlantic Star Center and Hodge Medical Services and other health care professionals from St. James Medical School.

Our patient advocates coordinate physicians’ appointments for the islands’ residents who wish to visit Puerto Rico for medical services. They also assist with airline transportation and hotel accommodations at discounted rates. Once the patients reach Puerto Rico, they are offered free ground transportation between airport, hotel, and hospital.
Our healthcare facilities accept most health insurances, such as Nagico, Mapfre, United Healthcare, Corvel, Bupa, Atlantic Southern/Redbridge, Triple S, Aetna, Blue Cross Blue Shield, Colonial, MAP, MCH, and Medicare, among others.
For those patients who do not have health insurance, MPHS offers discounted rates in most of the outpatient services by joining the free Pavia Preferred Patient Membership Program.
